THE AMBITION AUDIT - YOUR RESULTS
You can see the game clearly. Something invisible keeps pulling you back from winning it.
WHAT YOUR RESULTS SHOW
You are capable, motivated, and closer than you think. The block is not what you assume it is.
You scored highest as The Strategist. That means you have done the work. You know what you want. You have a sense of how to get there. And yet something keeps interrupting your momentum at the exact moment you start to gain ground. That pattern is not random and it is not weakness. It is the invisible rulebook you have been following, quietly, automatically, without realising it was running the show. Those rules got you to where you are. They are not the rules that will take you to what comes next.
"The Strategist is often the most frustrated woman in the room. She can see exactly where she wants to go and cannot understand why she keeps stopping herself.”
WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE
THE PATTERN
You second guess yourself at key moments. You hold back in rooms where you have every right to lead. You absorb other people's priorities even when yours are more important.
WHAT CHANGES
Naming the patterns and replacing them with deliberate strategies built around how you actually want to operate, not how you were conditioned to.
A STORY FROM JACQUI
WHAT YOU DO NOT NEED
Another framework. Another plan. You have plenty of those. You need to name the specific mechanism that keeps derailing them.
WHAT YOU ARE CLOSER TO THAN YOU THINK
Behavioural blocks lose most of their power the moment you can see them clearly. The visibility is the intervention
FROM FINANCIAL SERVICES TO FOUNDING THE AMBITION COLLECTIVE
I had a plan. I knew what I wanted and I had a reasonable sense of how to get there. What I did not know was that someone in a position of authority was quietly working against it, assuming my ambition had a shelf life that suited him. My boss did not want me on the leadership programme. Not because I was not ready. Because he had decided, without telling me, that I probably would not be around long enough for it to matter. I could have deferred to his judgement. I had done that before. Instead I pushed, got on the programme, and used what I learned there to identify a move into the CSM team that nobody else had spotted. A year later, Lead. Two years after that, Head Of. The strategy was always there. What changed was my willingness to stop letting other people's assumptions set the ceiling on it.

YOUR THREE MOVES THIS WEEK
Identify the last moment you held back when you did not have to. What was the story you told yourself to justify it? Write it down without editing it.
Name one rule you follow automatically in professional situations. Something you have never consciously agreed to but have been doing for years. Where did it come from?
In the next meeting where you feel the pull to hold back, say the thing anyway. Not loudly. Just clearly. Notice what actually happens versus what you predicted would happen.
